Supervisor: Horticulture (Grade 10)



Grounds and Gardens




The Grounds and Gardens section invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

Main Objectives




To supervise workers and teams that are engaged in the maintenance of all Horticultural aspects of the garden maintenance unit in the grounds & Gardens Section to ensure a clean and aesthetically pleasing campus by upholding sound and acceptable Horticultural practice.


The Requirements





Grade 12 plus approximately 4 years' relevant experience where such experience includes: -

Previous experience in practical areas of general garden maintenance Previous experience in operating mechanical tools of the trade A code 10 driving license Previous supervision experience (at least 2 years) Previous experience having worked in an industrial environment

Selection Process (provisional date, subject to change):



Short-listing meeting scheduled for 28 July 2025. The selection process that will be followed for this post will include an assessment and an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 10):




Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R348 338


Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R472 840

This post is advertised as a permanent post, but the University may opt to appoint on a fixed-term contract of not less than three years
