Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the hospitality industry and possess knowledge of food safety regulations. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly during service, and supervising a team of servers and kitchen staff. Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is a requirement for this position. The position is for 2-3 days a week and two weekends a month. This is a 3 month position for busy season with the possibility for a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise the restaurant during opening and closing hours

- Ensure the restaurant meets food safety regulations

- Supervise and train servers and kitchen staff

- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed

- Address customer concerns and resolve any issues in a timely manner

- Assist the General Manager with administrative duties as needed

- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the shop.

- Assisting with cash handling and daily sales reports.

- Developing and implementing promotions to boost sales.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the hospitality industry

- Knowledge of food safety regulations

- Ability to supervise and train a team of employees

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

- Fluency in both Afrikaans and English

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (5 days a week - with one weekend off a month)

- Must have reliable transportation
