GENDER AND HEALTH RESEARCH UNIT (DURBAN OFFICE) The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) strives to improve the nationxe2x80x99s health and quality of life by funding and conducting relevant and leading health research. It further aims to promote equity, career development and progression. STUDY CO-ORDINATOR Duration: 4 Year Contract The South African Medical Research Councilxe2x80x99s Gender and Health Research Unit has been awarded funding from Wellcome Trust for a large study, entitled: Fedixc5xa1a Modikologo which aims to describe the impact of severe intimate partner violence on women and their families, to understand risk factors for intimate partner femicide, and drivers of intergenerational cycling of violence. The research will be conducted at the SAMRC Durban Chatsworth Research Site. This project requires a suitably qualified and experienced Site Coordinator to work closely with the Regional Manager at SAMRC Durban offices.
