Job Summary Overall Job Purpose The Structured & Investment Solutions Support will support the Head of Structured Solutions and the Head of Investment Management, for all structured, risk management and Investment solutions for the Wealth Management businesses. The Structured & Investment Solutions support is a National role. The Structured & Investment Solutions Support will ensure that the interaction with Wealth Management is seamless and will provide an opportunity to provide feedback to Head of Structured & Investment Solutions in order to further customise product proposition to Wealth Management needs. The job holder will manage and support to Head of Structured Solutions offering particularly the Wealth Advisory proposition and the Wealth International proposition.



Accountability: Technical / Commercial partner to Wealth Investment Managers and Wealth Bankers

  • Client facing, support in large, complex and high profile deals directly, either to lead a transaction or provide support to the Structured & Investment Solutions team. This includes attending client meetings and supporting in technical pitches for both the Structured Solutions Group and Investment Management product sets.
  • Design and develop a quarterly road show presentation together with Head of Investment Management and Head of Structured Solutions re regional offices to discuss product availability. This may be done together with GI&S roadshows.
  • To ensure that the product manufactures do training on all new products to the Wealth Management business before going live and a central register is maintained to confirm training attendance
  • With Head of Investment Management communicate and apply GI&Sxe2x80x99s investment philosophy, including approved strategic and tactical asset allocation calls.
  • To ensure that all product literature is held in a central depositary easily accessible by Wealth Investment Managers.
  • To support the co-ordination in respect of GI&S large deal forum ie transactions greater than R 10 million.
  • To support Head of Investment Management to be point of contact re engagement with GI&S.
  • To support Head of Investment Management to be point of contact for all Wealth Investment managers re concerns between Wealth Management business and GI&S.
  • To support Head of Structured Solutions for structured product campaigns in consultation with Absa Capital and GI&S.
  • To provide guidance and support, in conjunction with GI&S, to investment analysts in ensuring an efficient investment review and new business proposal process, including input into the design of such reports.
  • Collating feedback from Wealth Investment Managers on enhancing the review and proposal reports generated
Accountability: Proposition Development
  • To support Head of Structured Solutions and Head of Investment Management identify potential new solutions and ensure that they are delivered for the Wealth Management business in an efficient manner.
  • To support Head of Structured Solutions and Head of Investment Management to implement risk governance & commerciality to achieve Wealth Management revenue targets.
  • To support Head of Structured & Investment Solutions for the marketing strategy for Wealth & Investment Solutions Group, ensuring regular media awareness and campaigns above and below the line.
Accountability: Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with local internal stakeholders;
  • Effectively communicate developments within areas of activity to all relevant stakeholders;
  • Ensure impeccable and timeous service levels;
  • Liaise with various Business Units to support business objectives
Accountability: Product training support
  • Facilitate the training of the Wealth distribution network in respect of products approved by GI&S.
  • Together with GI&S and product manufacturers design and develop presentations by ABSA and 3rd party product providers, responding to ongoing product queries, development etc.
Accountability: Investment marketing support
  • To support Head of Investment Management and GI&S to position and distribute all relevant GI&S investment communications (e.g. research, fund/ product accreditation updates, investment strategy and product launches).
Accountability Risk Management
  • To support Head of Structured & Investment Solutions to co-ordinate Wealth Management FAIS OpsCo.
Education and Experience Required
  • CFA with 2 years minimum experience in a financial services industry; or
  • CA (SA) with 2 years minimum experience in a financial services industry; or
  • Maters / Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field (Investments, Finance, Law, Accounting/Tax, Economics, Business Administration);
  • Can be under supervision for any sub categories under FSB licence of Absa Wealth advisory;
  • Where the above qualifications are not met, and where the candidate has a minimum of 5 plus years relevant and related experience within a wealth management business and / or Capital Markets,

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
