Structural Engineering Technician - Cape TownA dynamic and vibrant company supplying the building industry with concrete precasts is looking for an experienced Structural Engineering Technician to join their team. They are looking for candidates with experience in Prokon, AutoCAD & FloorCAD (adv) with a minimum of 4 - 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience.The successful applicant will be required to:Manage communication around designs and technical details of assigned projectsCompile measurement layouts and preliminary layouts when requestedCompile construction drawings for productionDesign beam and staircase layoutsCompile bending schedules and assist with other design needsOrder steel for stairs, beams and other custom items for assigned projectsEnsure accurate, efficient and cost-saving final layouts for castingObtain written approval of designs from clients and engineersEnsure approved designs are received by the engineer timeouslyTimeously ensure quotations are revised for final order and ensure all is accepted before sending to factory for productionMonitor installation schedule to prioritise projects and communicate possible delays and issues to ManagersNotify clients as to why changes have been madeCapture slabs and designs on FloorCADCheck slab layouts and FloorCAD designsCorrespond with all relevant parties to obtain informationQualifications:MatricNdip / BTech (Civil Engineering) xe2x80x93 PR.Tech will be adv .Minimum 4 - 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experienceMust have experience on Prokon and AutoCADFloorCAD will be adv.Own transportSkills:Good problem-solving skillsReputable technical skillsFluent in English/AfrikaansExcellent communication skillsSound problem solving abilityApply with your most recent resume & supporting documents.Please note should you not receive a response from us within 7 working days; kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
