About the Role:
In this pivotal position, you'll split your time between the officedesigning and planning key structural componentsand the site, where youll provide hands-on technical support and ensure that designs are executed to perfection. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality commercial projects that stand the test of time.
Minimum Requirements:
xc2xb7 BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or BTech in Structural Engineering
xc2xb7 Professional registration with ECSA (or in the process)
xc2xb7 Minimum of 5 years experience in structural design, with strong commercial project exposure
xc2xb7 Proficient in Prokon, Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
xc2xb7 Valid drivers license and willingness to travel
xc2xb7 Strong technical problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgement
xc2xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
xc2xb7 Physically fit and comfortable working both in the office and on site
Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Design and detail structural elements for commercial buildings in line with industry standards
xc2xb7 Perform structural analysis using Prokon and other design tools
xc2xb7 Prepare and review structural specifications that balance safety, cost, and sustainability
xc2xb7 Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with design
xc2xb7 Collaborate with architects, project managers, and the wider professional team throughout project lifecycles
xc2xb7 Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report back to stakeholders
xc2xb7 Perform Facility Condition Assessments and Structural Assessments
