Job title: Structural Engineer
Location: Pretoria East, Gauteng
Salary: R30 000- R40 000
Vacancy type: Full time
Duties:
- Design & Analysis: Develop structural designs for buildings, bridges, foundations, and other infrastructure.
- Calculations & Modeling: Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and simulations to ensure stability and safety.
- Drawings & Documentation: Prepare and review detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Site Inspections: Conduct on-site supervision and inspections to ensure construction aligns with designs and standards.
- Project Support: Assist with feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project planning.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards.
- Coordination: Work closely with civil engineers, architects, contractors, and other professionals.
- Problem-Solving: Provide solutions for design changes, site challenges, and unexpected structural issues.
- Reporting: Compile progress, compliance, and quality reports for project managers and clients.
- 2-4 years experience as a Civil Engineer
- BEng in Structural Engineering
- Project experience in structural design
- Experience working in the private sector - beneficial
