Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for an Stores Manager role, which is based in Wadeville.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outcomes
Inventory and Materials Management

  • Ensure effective planning, receipt, storage, and timely issuance of all raw materials, packaging, consumables, and engineering spares.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels aligned to production forecasts to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and ensure reconciliation with system stock.
Warehouse and Storehouse Oversight
  • Ensure that all storehouses (engineering and raw material) operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with CCBSA standards.
  • Implement and uphold best practices in warehouse layout, materials handling, and FIFO principles.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and material labeling.
System and Process Governance
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of goods receipts, stock transfers, issues, and returns in ERP system.
  • Drive adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for stock variances.
Continuous Improvement and Cost Control
  • Identify and implement improvements in warehouse layout, inventory management, and storage efficiency.
  • Monitor and reduce slow-moving, obsolete, or expired inventory.
  • Optimize materials handling and storage cost-effectively.
Stakeholder and Cross-functional Coordination
  • Interface with Procurement, Production, Engineering, Planning, and Finance teams to align materials availability with business needs.
  • Participate in plant production meetings and contribute to materials readiness planning.
  • Liaise with external vendors for delivery coordination and returns management.
People Management and Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Stores team to deliver high-performance standards.
  • Coach and empower team leaders and controller to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  • Drive team engagement, training, and development initiatives.

Skills, Experience & Education
Education
  • National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Warehouse/Inventory Certification (e.g., APICS, CIPS) is advantageous
Experience
  • 5-8 years' experience in inventory or stores management within an FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial environment
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems
  • Proven track record in leading teams and improving stores performance
Skills
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, warehouse processes, and materials planning
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Lean Warehousing and 5SFamiliarity with SHEQ standards and practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process governance
