Job Title: Storeroom Stock Controller

Location: Hermanstad, Pretoria.

Job Purpose:

To manage and control the inventory of hardware items in the storeroom, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and efficient distribution to internal departments or customers. The role ensures that all hardware tools, equipment, and materials are stored, tracked, and issued in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and record incoming hardware stock. Maintain accurate inventory records using stock control systems (manual or digital). Organize and label stock in the storeroom for easy identification and access. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies. Monitor stock levels and notify procurement of low or critical items. Issue hardware items to departments or staff as per requisition orders. Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or loss. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storeroom. Assist in preparing reports on stock usage, wastage, and trends. Comply with health and safety regulations in the storeroom environment.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Basic computer literacy (Excel, inventory software, etc.). Knowledge of hardware tools and materials. Ability to lift and move heavy items safely. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and initiative-taking abilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate. Certificate or diploma in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management (advantageous). 1-3 years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse environment, preferably in manufacturing industry. Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., Pastel, SAP, or similar).

Working Conditions:

Based in a storeroom or warehouse environment. May require occasional overtime or weekend work as per operational requirements. Physical work involving lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
