Job Description

We have a position available for a well-presented and well-spoken Storeroom Assistant based in Rivonia. This position will assist in the day-to-day running of the storeroom, with the ultimate purpose of maximising sales and profitability. The Storeroom Assistant will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, processing, organising, storing, packaging and labelling goods for sale within our retail store

Experience:

• Must have Matric (NQF4)
• 1+ years experience working with stock
• Reliable transport to work and back
• Must be bilingual in both AFRIKAANS and English
• Industry experience will be an advantage

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in receiving, supplying and managing stock inventories.
• Check and verify stock received as against supplierxe2x80x99s invoice.
• Determine equipment and material issues to the store manager.
• Handle stock inventories in a warehouse setting.
• Maintain and manage stock records.
• Handle and manage stock of products in a organized manner.
• Receive incoming interbranch transfers.
• Pack and send outgoing interbranch transfers.
• Deal with heavy and frequent deliveries.
• Embrace company policies.
• Check the new merchandise that was received is the same as what has been invoiced.
• Check new merchandise for damages or discrepancies.
• Sort, pack and label/price incoming stock.
• Prioritize stock that is required to be on the floor first.
• Abide in company policies of first in first.
• Complete receiving register.
• Ensure all corresponding documents have been received.
• Hand invoice, delivery notes and waybills to stock controller.
• Inform store manager of any discrepancies or damaged stock.
• Once transfers/stock has been released take the stock to the correct department.
• Record the inventory of all storeroom items.
• Conducts physical inventory checks on a routine schedule.
• Distributes storeroom stock in accordance to company policies.
• Ensure storeroom is kept clean and orderly.
• Assist with stock take.
• Assist with repairs.
