GENERAL WORKER/DRIVER (DIEP RIVER)

Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE)(RF) (PTY) LTD, a leading automotive wholesaler committed to providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Warehouse General Worker/Driver at our Diep River Branch. As a Warehouse General Worker/Driver, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operations of our warehouse by accurately picking, packing, collecting, and delivering automotive products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Select items from stock based on order specifications and carefully pack them for shipment.

Inspect products for quality standards and report any discrepancies promptly.

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of goods.

Work closely with the warehouse team to achieve collective goals and meet customer demands.

Operate warehouse equipment safely and adhere to all safety guidelines.

Generate vehicle maintenance reports and ensure the cleanliness and representability of the vehicle.

Arrive at customers promptly.

Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by the Branch Manager.

Minimum requirements:

Matric

Must have a valid South African code 8 driver's licence.

Knowledge of the Southern suburbs and surrounding areas.

Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and assist colleagues, including suppliers, transporters, sales staff, managers, and procurement teams.

Possess physical fitness for tasks that involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.

Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in tasks such as picking and packing.

Ability to work well independently, showing initiative and self-motivation.

Focus on identifying and solving challenges efficiently to contribute to a seamless workflow.

Strong communication skills to interact positively with diverse individuals and teams.

Consistent ability to follow instructions and apply common sense in daily tasks.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and responsibilities.

Must be able to count and demonstrate strong numerical abilities.
