Job Description
The Warehouse Storeman reports to the Warehouse Lead in the Workshop team.
To ensure the smooth operation of the logistics function, including day-to-day operations, logistics
and inventory control
To ensure the integrity and effectiveness of a system from stock receipt to stock issue; thus enabling
the provision of a timely, reliable and cost efficient service to internal and external customers.
Carry out goods transport, receipt, inspections, storage, control, issue and dispatch
functions
? Ensure stores area maintained as strict quarantine area against non-approved access
? Keep reliable records which meet ISO9001 and internal audit requirements
? Regular liaison with Warehouse Controller and Warehouse Lead
? High accuracy of recording and control of stock to avoid financial discrepancies
? Assistant driver, delivery person, forklift driver
? Create safe work environment to prevent manual handling incidents or accidents, suggest
ways to improve
? Maintain high standards of housekeeping
? Ensure correct stores receipt and despatch procedures are followed
? Correct identification, marking and labelling of material and spares
? Ensure integrity of stock control to eliminate wastage or xe2x80x9cslippagexe2x80x9d
