Eagle Lighting (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a
Stores Assistant
for their operations in Atlantic Hills.
The purpose of this role is to lead, plan, organize and control the daily operations of the branch and warehouse.
Your areas of responsibility:
Assist with put-away/shelving of stock received from receiving department, quality checking, handling, and packing
Assist with picking of stock for dispatching, quality checking, handling, and packing per issued pick slips from sales
Ensure the correct items and quantities are pulled, and to sign on the picking slips and stock bin cards
Take customers stock / orders and paperwork to the dispatch area
Ensure good stock control and administration
Assist with loading and offloading of stock and packing in correct stock allocation areas
Ensure effective housekeeping and safety according to prescribed standards
Ensure stores are kept neat and tidy
Ensure that security regulations are always adhered to
Perform other duties under instruction from the Operations Manager / Stores Supervisor when required
Perform daily cycle counts of stock per instruction from Operations Officer/Stock controller.
Attend and assist quarterly stock takes.
Qualifications we are looking for:
Matric / Equivalent is a MUST
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGE
Good product knowledge
Knowledge of warehouse processes
Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing
