Job Description



Description Protect and grow profitable marketshare within a Store in accordance with the Store, Division and Companystrategy.
Requirements

  • Grade 12 with at least 3 (three)years related retail management experience or 5 (five) years related retailmanagement experience
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Must have well developed businessacumen
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be computer literate (Basiccomputer literacy)
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must have strong administrativeskills
  • Must have own transport and cellphone
  • Must have sound knowledge of Healthand Safety aspects in line with local (OHSA) and / or neighbouring Countrieslegislation
  • Must have strong Human ResourcesManagement skills
  • Attention to detail

StrategicManagement
  • Develop, implement, and manage aStore Business Plan for the Store ensuring it is aligned with the overallCompany strategy and strategic initiatives as approved by the DivisionalManager and Operations Executive from time to time

Grow and protectProfitable Market Share
  • Achieve growth in markets share inyour Store as defined in the strategy plan
  • Promote customer loyalty programmes (e.g.,VIC, charge cards, etc)
  • Manage the distribution ofadvertising material to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Develop action plans proactively toprotect your market where you trade when competitors enter the market

Customer Service
  • Implementing and monitoring theCustomer Service strategy
  • Reliable, prompt Customer DeliveryService
  • Grow and maintain VIC client base
  • Recommend Range improvements to suitethe market
  • Take action on Customer Surveys(implement action plans when required)
  • Ensure effective staff schedulingplanned and implemented to provide exceptional Customer service.

Asset Control Stock
  • Order stock as per Cashbuild Way
  • Manage and control shrinkage withinthe Store
  • Manage the PIC process
  • Manage Wall to wall Stock-take
  • Manage and control stock movementinside the store relating to
  • End Control
  • IBTs
  • Customer Returns
  • Receiving
  • Manage Damage, Obsolete and Slow-movingstock items
  • Analyse security requirements andimplement changes.

Asset Control Cash
  • Manage Debtors and RD Cheques withinthe Store
  • Manage Petty Cash
  • Manage daily Banking
  • Manage Shorts and overs
  • Manage Cheques and Credit Cards

Asset Control Fixed Assets
  • Maintenance and protection of rackingand displays
  • Maintenance and protection of signage(internal & external)
  • Maintenance of forklift and generator
  • Maintenance and protection of IT Equipmentand Telephone systems
  • Maintenance and protection of theSafe / vault
  • Maintenance and protection of itemslisted on asset register.

Human ResourceManagement
  • Recruit and Induct all Employees
  • Ensure Training and Development(certification and succession / back up plans) is in place for the Store
  • Ensure Succession Planning and Careerpathing is in place within the Store
  • Manage manpower requirements in linewith the Division and Store strategy and Company benchmarks
  • Ensure open communication / relations(CARE Meetings, CB Mail) with the Store Employee Forum
  • Manage Employee Relations
  • Manage the performance managementprocesses as per the Cashbuild Way
  • All staff to have complete stafffiles as per the Cashbuild Way.

Store Safety (OHSA)Standards
  • Manage Safety aspects in line withlocal (OHSA) and/or neighbouring Countries legislation:
  • Ensure Checklists complete
  • Appointment of Safety and first aidReps as per OHSA
  • Report Incidents
  • Take immediate action on anynon-compliance once identified
  • Record all OHASA incidents
  • Ensure all Forklift drivers have avalid forklift drivers licence
  • Ensure safe working conditions of allsafety equipment.

Store TradingStandards
  • Maintain Housekeeping standards
  • Manage Merchandising standards
  • Implement and maintain the correctPlanograms
  • Maintain Yard and Parking Areas
  • Manage and maintain store Ready forBusiness standards

Profitability
  • Manage the Store according to theFinancial Model, benchmarks, and budgets

CB Way
  • Monitor adherence of Company standardcompliance in Store (Internal Audit Results)
  • Implement and maintain controls anddisciplines
  • Implement Corrective Action Planswhere necessary
