Job Description


My client based within the retail sector within the Gauteng Region is seeking a Store Manager to provide leadership and direction in all KPAxe2x80x99s within the store.

Duties:

  • Perform Admin Supervisor/Manager and Sales & Floor Supervisor/Manager role
  • Achievement of store targets
  • Stock management performance
  • Operational planning and objective / target setting, priority setting and scheduling
  • Monitoring and reporting (stock management; sales targets; expenses; admin policies and procedures)
  • Resolve escalated issues e.g. customer queries
  • People and enabling (e.g. number of tills; telephone lines) capacity management
  • Liaison with internal and external service departments (e.g. IT, Finance, RCS, infrastructure, suppliers, etc.)
  • Management of store budget / expenses
  • Store specific customer growth strategies
  • Staff recruitment and selection and succession planning
  • Individual performance management and training / development
  • Motivated and disciplined team
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • At least 3 plus yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a supervisory or management role in retail (depending on store type/grade).
  • Selling skills
  • Working knowledge of a store management system
  • Financial skills
  • Knowledge of industrial relations
  • Basic coaching skills
  • Computer literacy - MS Office
