To manage all aspects of stock operations within the packhouse, ensuring efficiency, productivity, compliance, and effective staff supervision. The role supports optimal stock levels, supplier relations, and regulatory compliance to enable smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain optimal stock levels and ordering practices.
Record and reconcile daily deliveries and usage.
Manage stock systems for ordering, receival, usage, and waste tracking.
Ensure hygienic, organized, and space-efficient store areas.
Liaise with suppliers outside central procurement; monitor performance.
Prepare detailed operational and variance reports.
Oversee budgeting, reporting, and resource usage.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, FSSC, SIZA, and Health & Safety standards.
Lead, train, and motivate stock staff; handle performance issues.
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Drive continuous improvements in stock control and risk management.
Requirements
Education: Matric + relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Stock Management.
Experience: 5+ years in stock management (preferably in packhouse/agricultural industry).
Skills:
o Strong systems knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency.
o Leadership, negotiation, and communication capabilities.
o High attention to detail and analytical skills.
Advantageous: Training in HACCP, BRC, FSSC, SIZA, Health & Safety.
