Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. We specialize in handling, Storage, and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, oil & gas, and other agricultural products. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, and we provide LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers, and consumers of base metals. In addition, we provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as cocoa beans, rubber, cotton, and other agricultural products. Access World also acts as collateral manager of ferroalloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas. Regions operate in semi-autonomous offices with their corporate functions including commercial, finance HR, legal, and operations.

Purpose of the position:





The purpose of the Stock Manager position is to oversee and manage all stock-related operations within the organization to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. The Stock Manager is responsible for controlling stock movements, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and industry regulations.



This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, minimizing stock variances, and maximizing profitability through effective stock control and revenue management. The Stock Manager works closely with internal departments, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless stock operations that support the company's strategic goals and service delivery standards.


Key Requirements/ Responsibilities:




Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient daily stock handling for exports by establishing performance metrics, monitoring KPIs, and optimizing processes to enhance productivity and accuracy. Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources to maximize profitability in export stock operations. Supervision & Leadership: Oversee department managers and stock teams, including recruitment, coaching, training, and performance management to build a high-performing workforce. Stock Control & Analysis: Manage all export stock movements (inbound, outbound, and in-transit), perform daily analysis to predict potential issues, and ensure accurate reporting. Process Optimization: Develop and enhance stock control procedures, ensuring efficiency and compliance with SOPs. System & Technology Utilization: Use advanced software (e.g., Oracle) to monitor demand, track stock characteristics, and improve reporting accuracy. Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, logistics providers, clearing agents, and other departments to achieve export goals and client satisfaction. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to customs, export regulations, financing house requirements, and client-specific standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on export stock movements, levels, variances, and performance trends for management and client review.

Qualifications / Experience:




Preferably Qualification in logistics and supply chain management + BCOM: supply chain management
+ Diploma in Logistics and supply chain management
Over 5 years' experience in logistics and supply chain management environment. Ability to work accurately and within deadlines. Business and financial intelligence. High level of analytical skills. Attention to detail. Ability to plan, co-ordinate, organise and prioritise self and team. Very good organisational skills. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Above-average Excel skills. Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
