Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and address audit queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitor changes in financial legislation and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Support internal reporting requirements and provide financial data for decision-making.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of statutory reports.
- Assist with internal controls and ensure financial processes align with corporate policies.
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 1 year post-articles experience
- Very strong academics (First Attempt Board Passes) + Distinctions
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail and business acumen
- Industry experience in retail is ideal, but we're open to sharp candidates from other sectors
