Purpose of Job
To implement stakeholder engagement strategy in support of strategic objectives. To execute specific engagement strategies for management of key individual stakeholders identified as and agreed to as top priority.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Provide knowledge and stakeholder management support to enable the development and implementation of Ekandustria strategies. Identify stakeholder needs to help develop plans for managing a diverse set of stakeholders focused on local municipalities and local community. Ensure in-depth needs and environmental analysis, issue early warning signals of stakeholder issues, and recommend response and engagement strategies. Provide key support to stakeholder engagement planning and execution. Identify risks that could impact operations and recommend appropriate responses and mitigation. Render governance and reporting support on stakeholder engagement and regulatory programmes. Build and maintain relationships with customers, business units, government, community, political leadership, and specialised bodies and participate in expert networks. Brief internal stakeholders on local issues and external stakeholder profiles, interests and positions on issues. Support in developing and maintaining key external and internal communications collaterals (e.g. stakeholder profiles, position statements, key messages, presentations, speeches, press releases, newsletters) on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis. Assist in managing the design and production of relevant print materials, promotional items, stands, displays, signage, etc. Manage the development and maintenance of internal and external events calendars. Ensure that risk assessments are conducted for Community Affairs related activities and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed. Encourage and grow employee contributions to and participation in internal communications and events and employee volunteering. Provide support to SOE Social Impact team to conceptualise, define, screen, and select future, positive social upliftment initiatives, projects, and investments that contribute to Sasol Groups social responsibility and sustainability goals. Collaborate with Manager Social Impact to ensure that all CSR initiatives meet the criteria stipulated by Sasol Group. Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations. Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework. Build and maintain positive relationships with key members of the community to enhance Sasol Groups social responsibilities and reputation. Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals. Manage team performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Sasol Group. Identify and activate learning as required based on individual and collective needs. Nurture a team spirit and openness towards feedback, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
