Job Description

Job Summary:



This position will be responsible for the overall STACK warehousing and logistics business unit of Nology and all aspects thereof.

Centurion office



Key Duties & Responsibilities:


Warehousing:

Continuously review and manage warehouse resources and resource requirements



Continuously review and evaluate warehouse layout/setup, processes and efficiency Plan and implement updated warehouse layout/setup, processes and procedures for: + Ongoing efficiency improvement
+ New customers
+ New/additional products
Manage warehouse staff Hands-on understanding and involvement in (especially for the purpose of back-up to warehouse staff): + Stock receiving
+ Stock storage and shelving
+ Stock transfers and allocations



Orders and Logistics

:





Courier partner relationship + Periodic performance and service level reviews
+ Assess and implement clear escalation path
+ Attend to escalated issues
Order processing and management: + Implement monitoring metrics and dashboards
+ Continuously review and manage resources and resource requirements
+ Continuously review and evaluate processes and efficiency
+ Plan and implement new and/or updated processes and procedures for:
- Ongoing efficiency improvement
- New customers
- New order types

Refurbishments

:





Implement monitoring metrics and dashboards Continuously review and manage resources and resource requirements Continuously review and evaluate processes and efficiency Plan and implement updated processes and procedures for: + Ongoing efficiency improvement
+ New products



Systems and Integration Partners

:





Primary system + Implement monitoring metrics and dashboards to identify potential system issues
+ Review and evaluate system processes and efficiency
+ Plan and implement new and/or improved system processes and procedures for:
- Ongoing efficiency improvement
- New order types
+ Always ensure updated documentation on the following:
- System order processing procedures for every order type
- System settings, process and requirements for (incl. loading of new):
Customers Courier Stock items Order types - Keep documented list of and relationship (on development level) with all partners the system is integrated with (e.g. couriers, customer validation partner, etc.).

Strategic and Sales

:





Responsible for the STACK Business Unit budget and sales forecast Define strategies and set goals for the STACK Business Unit Monitor and evaluate achievement of goals New business/customers: + Through the sales teams of the other business units in Nology
+ Strategic partner relationships
+ Identifying and pitching to new prospect customers directly
Prepare and keep up to date STACK sales presentations, together with the marketing department.



Human Resources

:





Leading, training and supervising STACK Operations Manager and warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring productivity. Make recommendations of review and update of s regularly Assist STACK Operations Manager with Performance Reviews of staff. Hold regular team meeting and give constructive and motivating feedback to staff Ensure that all training records are completed, up to date and filed with HR. Keep up to date with inter-departmental process & procedural changes. Inform supervised staff thereof. Adhere and enforce compliance with department and company policies and procedures and act against misconduct in line with the disciplinary code of conduct and in conjunction with the line manager




Safety and Compliance:





Enforce safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment while ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion Develop and maintain a schedule for the planned maintenance of equipment and arranging for repairs and replacement of equipment to ensure an uninterrupted service. Ensure that the Warehouse is clean and maintained in an organized manner

Internal training:





During the first week of your employment, you'll be presented with training plan designed to guide you through your on-the-job training experience..

Minimum Qualifications:





Matric Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain an advantage

Experience required/preferred:





5-10 years' experience in Logistics/Warehouse operations 2 years' experience in in a supervisory/ manager role 2-5 years Customer Service experience (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Financial / ERP Systems (Acumatica advantageous)

Office requirements

:



Working hours 8h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday. Semi-formal dress code. Reliable transport to and from the office Excellent language skills (English), both written and verbal Be patient and pay attention to client's specific product requirement Always ensure that client's product needs are met, as far as possible

This is a permanent position, subject to a three-month probation period.
