Surface Preparation:
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming them to ensure proper adhesion of the paint. Surfaces must be clean and without oil and welding spatters. All surfaces must get a primer coat. Before the final coat of paint is applied, ensure that sandpaper is used to make the surface a little coarse. Other duties Touch-Up & Repairs: Inspect surfaces to be painted, identifying imperfections, scratches or areas requiring touch-up.
Spray Painting:
Set up and operate spray equipment including guns, compressors, and other machinery. Applying paint evenly and smoothly using spray guns or other appropriate equipment to achieve the desired finish. Monitor drying times and conditions to prevent defects like runs, sags, or uneven coverage. Other duties Touch-Up & Repairs: Perform touch-up work to correct imperfections or match existing finishes.
Equipment Maintenance:
Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Clean all painting equipment and ensure cleanliness of spray booth.

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Grade 12/Grade 10 or 11 with extensive spray-painting experience.
Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Being able to use a variety of painting techniques.
In-depth knowledge of paint mixing.
Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols. This will include knowledge of how to use safety equipment properly to safeguard against chemical substances and fine particles that are sprayed into the air.
