Sports & Leisure Centre Manager

to join our team.

This role requires an individual with energy, leadership, and a deep passion for leisure and recreation, who thrives under pressure and remains composed in challenging situations.



Minimum Requirements:



Qualifications & Experience:



Grade 12 or equivalent (required); A Diploma in Sports / Club Management (advantageous); A valid driver's licence (advantageous); Minimum of 3 years' experience in a 5-star hotel, resort gym, sports or golf club environment in a supervisory or managerial capacity; Sound knowledge of a variety of leisure and sporting activities including children's programming, golf, tennis, cycling, hiking, etc.; Understanding of relevant local and national health and safety regulations; Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute engaging, innovative activities for guests and members that drive participation and revenue; Plan and implement vibrant seasonal and festive programmes tailored to our diverse clientele; Drive marketing and communication strategies to promote leisure activities and maximise awareness; Research and incorporate current trends in resort-based leisure activities to ensure offerings remain fresh and competitive; Ensure all leisure facilities comply with health, safety, and quality standards; Oversee daily operations of the Sports & Leisure Centre and Kids Club; Manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with targets; Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team; Handle administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, and inventory management; Ensure consistently high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service delivery; Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, working closely with Guest Relations and monitoring feedback platforms such as Medallia and TripAdvisor; Coordinate specialised childcare services as needed (including special needs and babysitting).

Additional Requirements:



The successful candidate must be physically fit to meet the demands of the role and willing to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
