Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Relevant
Post Grad Diploma Project Management preferred
A minimum of 5 - 8 years' relevant experience in project
management, construction of civil engineering and building
projects, at an appropriate level
Computer Literacy - MS Applications including MS Projects
SAP Project Systems (PS) and SAP Project Portfolio
Management (PPM) advantageous
Professional Registration in Project Management profession will
be advantageous
A valid driver's licence.
Key Performance Areas
Advise, formulate and implement strategy, policy and procedures
to ensure critical performance indicators are met within the
Water and Sanitation Directorate's portfolio, programme and
project management capital programmes through the various
project lifecycle stages.
Perform activities associated with high level input into programme
and project planning through influence on Capital Project
Planning, aligning capital implementation in accordance with the
IDP of the City and ensure that factors that may negatively
impact on project implementation are addressed through
appropriate interventions.
Support activities associated with the provision of Contract
management, Demand management, SCM support and advice to
Water & Sanitation project managers, in terms of Capex & Opex
to ensure compliance around tender, renewal and contract
processes.
Track the interaction on facilitation of Land Environmental and
Legal matters.
Perform the provision of a Project Systems service to Water &
Sanitation and reporting on project information from SAP PPM
and PS and other reporting tools.
Prepare communications associated with duties and functions in
order to improve the service profile, contributes to the body of
knowledge pertaining to the service as well as interacts with
communities and stakeholders.
