Job Title: Specialist Project Manager
Employment Type: 6 months Contract Renewable
Work Location: Johannesburg North/Hybrid

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing relationships with the project stakeholders and customers.
  • Maintain the schedule of the project and controlling changes.
  • Work with country Programme leads, responsible for holding weekly working groups and individual Programme progress calls.
  • Maintain quality planning, quality assurance and quality control for the project.
  • Identifying, documenting and assigning project roles, responsibilities and reporting relationships.
  • Ensuring timely and appropriate generation and dissemination of project information.
  • Maintenance of project tracking schedule at a Group level and individual banks.
  • Identifying, analysing and managing project risks.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS;
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Project Management experience in Banking projects will be an advantage.
  • Proven Project Management and Change Management skills and expertise.
  • Possess a level of financial understanding as Programme is financially linked, a level of financial analysis skills will be advantageous.
  • Powerpoint and Excel skills are a prerequisite.
  • Experience of employing change management best practices and disciplines.
  • Experience of managing activity across the whole of a project lifecycle.
  • Exposure to governance, control and risk management.
  • Proven ability to effectively work across teams at all levels.
MANDATORY SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Expertise with Linux systems, containers (Docker), and container orchestration.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the jurisdiction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability and cultural sensitivity for working in new environments.
BENEFICIAL SKILLS:
  • Experience with real estate acquisition and facilities management.
  • Knowledge of security systems and risk management.
  • Familiarity with branding and marketing strategies.
  • Experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity requirements.
PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:
  • Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, applicable banking experience, and previous earnings.
