Job Description

This role is responsible for the day-to-day tax management and compliance of BMW Financial Services South Africa. In this role you will be responsible for:

• The month-end processes relating to the tax and VAT general ledger accounts (including journal postings and account reconciliations).
• Completion of the Income Tax and VAT returns of BMW Financial Services in accordance with tax legislation and ongoing compliance checks for Income Tax, VAT and PAYE topics.
• You will be responsible for the Tax calculations for BMW SA Group Reporting (Quarterly actuals, Budgets, Forecasts and Provisional tax payments)
• You will be responsible to support the tax and VAT compliance of the xe2x80x9cSpecial Purpose Vehiclexe2x80x9d company (Super Drive Investments) relating to the asset backed financing funding structure of BMW Financial Services (the administration is outsourced to a third-party company).
• You will be responsible for the Transfer pricing taxes of BMW Financial Services.
• You will provide guidance in all matters relating to Income tax, VAT and PAYE to the business.
• You will consult, together with Management, with SARS officials, tax advisers and external auditors in order to resolve tax queries or obtaining tax opinions.

• BComm degree in Accounting / Finance (Honours or higher will be advantageous)
• 3 or more yearsxe2x80x99 experience in taxation
• Postgraduate qualification for example H-Dip (Tax), M Com (Tax) or studying towards a post-graduate qualification in Tax
• Strong technical skills (in depth knowledge of Income Tax (incl. PAYE), VAT Acts and strong accounting basis)
• Strong inter-personal skills, planning and organization abilities
• Strong analytical skills
• Must show initiative; be proactive and able to operate with limited supervision
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Attention to detail.
