Perform capacity and strategy planning in CDN Gi-Lan functions
Strategy & Architecture design for SDN solutions within IP Data networks and Vodacom Networks
Your responsibilities will include
Design, document and implement new network designs and solutions to IPDN and other groups and divisions according to Industry best practice.
Responsible for detailed site design, planning, integration and implementation of the IP Data Core and Access Network.
Evaluation and specification of implementation standards of new technologies (SDN, NFv, IoT, IPv6 etc).
Evaluate system design and performance and recommend system improvements to other engineering departments and suppliers.
Analyze input into Data Networks Planning and perform capacity and strategy planning.
Provide technical support and guidance to a team of IP Specialist.
Interface with Contractors and other divisions in Vodacom to overcome / solve data-related problems
Perform capacity management for IP Data
The ideal candidate for this role will have
Matric essential
3 Year Degree Essential and Masters in Electrical Engineering Degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience essential in:
IP Networking
SDN certifications, Cisco/Juniper certifications
IP,/MPLS, IPv6, QoS,
Ethernet and Packet based technologies
Optical Transport
Network Management (FM, CM and PM)
