Role Purpose/Business Unit:

To perform operational functions related to faults and configurations across systems and applications under the responsibility of Core Data Networks

Your responsibilities will include:

Support

Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix/Linux systems. Monitor the performance of the systems and applications. Attend to faults and incidents related to systems and applications. Evaluate and implement system OS software releases for systems. Engage with engineering, regional operations and ASOC teams to understand and address network concerns.

Planning

Engage with engineering and regional operations teams to define service requirements Evaluate system architecture and recommend system improvements Compile detailed system design and implementation plans Compile and keep site documentation up to date. Audit the site configurations and ensure alignment to architecture standards

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Knowledge of TCP/IP Operations Knowledge of DNS Operations Knowledge of Linux principles and operations Knowledge of IP networking technologies. Network Security Protocols and Services Ability to build CI/CD pipelines

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

A bachelor's degree or 3-year diploma in Information Technology or Electrical Engineering 3 years technical experience
