Objective of the role







The incumbent will be responsible for effectively maintaining practices, administering employees' benefits and systems to ensure accurate and efficiency within the Performance and Reward department.




Education & Qualifications







Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or finance.

Global Remuneration Certification (GRP) - all modules completed preferred.


General Knowledge & Experience







5 - 7 years in group wide or global remuneration and benefits environment

3 years' experience in remuneration and benefits consulting
2 - 3 years' experience in various tax and benefits regimes

Role Accountabilities







The core purpose of this role is to effectively maintain Benefit procedures and systems to ensure timeous allocations, payments, appropriate benchmarks, and available management information. This includes:


Attract and retain employees by researching and explaining benefit programs. Ensuring employees are informed about company-provided benefits. Determine employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices, researching industry and employment trends, and tracking legislation. Determine employee benefit interests by conducting employee surveys, forming focus groups, and analysing responses. Explain employee benefits by conducting meetings, preparing written and graphic announcements, presentations, and explanations, and responding to requests for information. Evaluate proposed employee benefit contracts by studying provisions and estimating impact. Provide management planning and control information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing employee benefit data and trends. Maintain employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organisations. Collaborate with global members of HR team to drive the deployment / delivery of incentive programs that adhere to best practices and ensure company's competitive position in talent acquisition with the industry. Provide direction on legacy queries regarding retirement funds and medical aids. Supervise MMI with providing oversight and guidance on the administration of the South African post-retirement medical plan. (CAWMS) Research, analyse, and communicate healthcare plans, retirement plans and wellness programs, and other employee benefits to the employees. Facilitating employee access to benefits and resolving plan changes and retirement funding benefit claims. Appeal decisions made by insurance companies, resolve disputes, and solve problems with benefits programs. Accountable to assist team members with general administrative support, including: information gathering, shares scheme modelling, report compilation, data analysis etc. Facilitation of the incentive scheme allocation, vesting and ensure that payments are processed accurately and on time by the payrolls and the scheme administrators. Completion of various surveys across the dept. i.e. LTI, STI, benefits surveys etc. Distribution of various global communications e.g. shares notes, new employee induction information / packs, annual review communication, deadlines, etc. Coordinating the various processes for the annual review of global benefit policies. Data gathering and support to facilitate the various audits within the area.



Remuneration







As per the AGA salary scales.
