Job Overview
: We are seeking a skilled qualified artisan to join our team at Worcester Dried Fruit Plant. The ideal candidate will be an experienced artisan with a strong background in both industrial electrical systems and a wide range of electronic-controlled machinery. This is a critical, hands-on role focused on maintaining the safety, quality and efficiency of our plant's electrical and electronic infrastructure. The candidate will be a key part of our maintenance team, responsible for the full scope of electrical installations, from new projects to routine maintenance. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can handle breakdowns swiftly and is committed to continuous improvement.New and existing electrical installations
Preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment
Breakdown handling when necessary
Motor gearbox wiring and controls
Switchgear and other controls
FMCG packing machinery
Electronic colour sorting machinery. Settings and maintenance
Metal detectors and production scales and multihead weighers
Network related issues on biometric readers, computers, telephones, printers, switches etc.
Communication with all departments in the factory
Interaction with suppliers and contractors
Quotation handling from suppliers
Project management for smaller projects. Assistance with bigger projects with his manager
Automation requirements for our factory machinery
Pneumatic maintenance
Controlled systems like e/stop controls, safety sensors, plc's etc. as prescribed in the safety standard
CoC's issuing changes to electrical network
Continuous improvement is a constant focus
Safety and food safety systems integration
Adhoc Forklift maintenance
Being on standby on a rotation basis with rest of the team
Handling call-out when necessary
