This company is seeking a skilled SOX Implementation Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. The chosen candidate will lead the implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program for one of their prestigious clients in Johannesburg. As an Implementation Specialist, you will focus on execution, efficiency, and contribute significantly to financial risk assessments and control framework development.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the implementation of the SOX compliance program.
- Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses.
- Develop and test SOX controls.
- Create, optimize, and document operational procedures, risks, and controls.
- Design and implement practical testing procedures and real-time monitoring mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with client operational teams to enhance efficiency and address control deficiencies.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including external auditors.
- Provide training and support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or CA(SA) accreditation is essential
- Proven experience in SOX implementation is essential
- Project management experience is essential.
- Experience in the IT, Telecommunications space is highly beneficial
