An iconic brand in the global wine industry, based in the picturesque Paarl/Simondium region, is currently seeking to appoint a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head Chef.

Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

Assist in organising and coordinating daily kitchen operations;

p
Support in supervising and training kitchen staff;
/p
p

/p
p
Manage stock control and inventory levels;
/p
p

/p
p
Ensure supplies and equipment are adequately maintained;
/p
p

/p
p
Contribute to the implementation of effective operational procedures to delivery of service excellence.

p

Requirements:

Diploma/Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts;
/p
p

/p
p
3-5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a 5-star restaurant;
/p
p

/p
p
Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safety, and food quality standards;
/p
p

/p
p
Proven ability in menu planning, cost control, and stock management;
/p
p

/p
p
Experience in supervising, training and motivating kitchen staff;
/p
p

/p
p
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays;
/p
p

/p
p
Valid drivers license and own transport.
/p
p
/p
p
