Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and hands-on
Sous Chef
to support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen and leads by example, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and creativity across all services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen management
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand standards
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and food safety (HACCP)
Manage stock levels, ordering, daily stock take and wastage control
Step in as acting Head Chef when required
Ensure smooth service during busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods
Contribute to menu development, specials, and seasonal items

Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience in high-volume or beachside/casual dining environments
Solid knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
Passion for fresh ingredients and well-executed flavours
Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
Need to be computer literate (Excel, word, stock control, POS)
