Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join the culinary team at a luxury safari camp in Vaalwater. This role is ideal for a passionate chef with strong experience in a high-volume kitchen who is looking to work in a beautiful bushveld setting.

? Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in managing the daily kitchen operations
/p
p
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality
/p
p
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and delivered on time
/p
p
Maintain top hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen
/p
p
Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen cost management
/p
p
Contribute to menu planning and culinary development
/p
p
Manage kitchen operations during busy service periods
/p
p
? Requirements:
/p
p
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen
/p
p
Formal culinary training or relevant qualification preferred
/p
p
Proven leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach
/p
p
Strong organisational and communication abilities
/p
p
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards
/p
p
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
/p
p
