Job Summary Sous Chef - Luxury Game Reserve, Limpopo Province Job Overview Position : Sous Chef Location : Limpopo Province, South Africa Employment Type : Full-Time Start Date : ASAP Key Responsibilities Design and execute innovative, high-quality menus showcasing local and seasonal ingredients, including game meat and South African flavors. Lead; train, and inspire a team of kitchen staff to maintain exceptional culinary standards. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, budgeting, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with lodge management to create unique dining experiences, including bush dinners and special events. Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding food quality and presentation for guests and private functions. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant, lodge, or hotel setting. Culinary qualification (diploma or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Strong knowledge of South African cuisine, with expertise in incorporating local and indigenous ingredients. Experience in menu planning, cost control, and kitchen management. Ability to thrive in a remote location with a passion for the bushveld lifestyle. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid work permit for South Africa (if applicable).
