Job Description

An exciting role has become available as a Sous Chef at a beautiful Game Reserve in Limpopo.
REQUIRMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • Culinary qualification
  • Fine-dining and bush lodge experience
  • Experience as a Sous Chef at a 5-star Game Lodge
  • Great Health & Safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of stock control, budgeting & orders
  • Strong leadership, to lead the team when the Head Chef is not around
  • Must be outgoing and flexible
  • Must be neat and tidy
  • Computer literacy
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Keep the kitchen in a clean and hygienic state, as set out by the Head Chef
  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Assist the Head Chef with monthly stock taking
  • Control food stock and food cost
  • Ensure standards are met and quality is consistent on a daily basis
  • Prepare the daily mise en place and food preparations of reach section of the main kitchen and/or satellite kitchens
PACKAGE:
  • Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience
  • Work cycle: 21 days on, 7 off
  • 15 Days annual leave
  • Pension fund
  • Accommodation: 2 bedrooms flat with lounge, kitchen and undercover parking
This is a live-in position.
