Job Summary 
 This award winning Restaurant in the heart of Stellenbosch offers the ultimate dining experience with innovative and highly creative menu and plating concepts. 
 ProStaffSelect are in search of an organised, creative and hands-on SOUS CHEF to oversee production and service. Working alongside a well travelled and seasoned head chef, the sous chef is responsible for coordinating and controlling all kitchen prep for hot, cold and pastry sections, organising set-up for service, running the pass, liaising with front of house teams and management during service, delegating duties to work colleagues, managing / sending out orders correctly, relieving head chef on days off as well as scheduling staff, processing daily and weekly orders, stock takes, monitoring hygiene and sanitation standards and controlling food wastage. We need candidates with experience in high end / award winning kitchens, creation of menus according to current trends, food costing and exceptional skills in managing teams and coordinating kitchen personnel. 
REQUIREMENTS: 
 At least 3 years experience as a SOUS CHEF in an award winning kitchen 
 Excellent communication and organisational skills 
 Experienced in motivating, training and leading production teams 
 Adaptable and flexible personality 
 Willing to take full responsibility for operations and an innovative thinker
