We're a busy daytime only restaurant that is popular for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Our specialty is bagels but we serve a wide selection of items inspired by American, Eastern European and Mediteranean dishes. We also have a bakery and deli on site.

We're looking for a Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at our flagship store in Sea Point. As Sous Chef, you'll be the right hand to our Head Chef and play a key role in maintaining high food quality standards, leading our kitchen team in consistency and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Direct and support food preparation alongside the Head Chef Produce high-quality plates with attention to both

taste and visual presentation

Oversee and supervise kitchen staff daily Assist in

inventory and kitchen management

Ensure all food meets quality and safety standards Maintain a

clean, organised, and compliant

kitchen environment Run the

pass

efficiently during service Assist in managing kitchen staff shifts Train and mentor new team members Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment Proactively resolve kitchen issues and challenges

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role in a professional kitchen Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to

lead a team

and stay calm under pressure Required to work

weekends and public holidays

Experience running the pass in a fast-paced kitchen is essential Passion for high-quality food and a

keen eye for detail
