We are seeking a talented and creative Sous Chef to leadkitchen operations in a luxury villa setting. This role suits a chef passionate about International and South African cuisine, storytelling through food, and providing a private, high-end guest experience. Candidates with experience on luxury super yachts would be highly favourable.
Responsibilities
-Lead the kitchen in the absence of senior chefs
-Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, service teams, and villas
-Deliver high-quality, 5-star food consistently
-Interact with guests, take orders, and suggest meals
-Prepare villas for guest arrivals and maintain cleanliness
-Write daily menus and manage food presentation
-Conduct stock control, place orders, and liaise with suppliers
-Minimise waste and maintain monthly inventory
Skills & Requirements:
-Creative and forward-thinking
-Strong communication and organisational skills
-High attention to detail
-Guest-focused with excellent service standards
-Able to work independently and under pressure
-Culinary qualification preferred
-At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
-Must have5* hotel, lodge, oryacht experience
-Must have Fine dining experience
-Previous yacht experience or similar role will be an advantage
-Ability to work independently and host guests
-Very good communication skills
-Travelling experience is advantageous
