Job Description


A well-established catering company based in Somerset West, Cape Town is in search of a Sous Chef to assist with the preparation and running of catering at events including weddings and corporates and high end functions.Job Requirements:

  • Chef Diploma/certificate
  • Valid South African Drivers license
  • Own, reliable car essential
  • Minimum of 5 Years experience as Sous Chef within high end catering environment
  • Able to manage the catering of events and lead a team
  • Be able to train staff
  • Computer knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Stock control
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willing to work shifts based on the events booked
  • Able to make correct decisions regarding business and staffing issues.
  • Reduce & monitor all wastage.
  • Monitor & log kitchen hygiene reports
  • Excellent communication and client relations skills
  • Reside in the surrounding area of the Helderberg and Stellenbosch areas
