Charles Hope is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic

Sous Chef

to join our team. You will support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cleanliness while fostering a friendly and professional atmosphere. You will also be responsible for training and coaching your team, ensuring they reach their full potential.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING??

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and managing the culinary team. Oversee and assist with food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas for seasonal offerings. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard before serving. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train, inspire and supervise junior chefs, developing their skills in a range of cooking and preparation techniques across all sections of the kitchen.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR??

As a deputy to the Head Chef, you will take full control of the kitchen when they are away. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Great team player with a positive attitude Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for food preparation. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
WHAT'S ON OFFER:?

Competitive Salary. Medical Aid Contribution Full time hours - around 40 per week.
