Job Summary

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12/NQF Level4 /STD 10 is essential.
• Relevant degree or equivalent in either supply chain and/or purchasing management, logistics management, economics, business economics or managerial finance is essential.
• Advanced or professional diploma in Purchasing and Supply from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) would be an advantage.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience within a mining procurement environment, specifically in conducting sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and/or RFTs), negotiating with suppliers and drafting contracts essential.

KPA

• Analyse spend data/trends to identify and develop overall strategic/tactical sourcing initiatives which meet the needs of the Organisation and recommend agreement formation to Category Manager on research oftotal spend, end-user impact, risks, feedback, and activity along with marketplace analysis
• Develop and manage formal project plans for approved sourcing/tender events and communicate to all relevant stakeholders.
• Initiate, lead and influence the selection process through cross functional teams at all levels in the organisation.
• Lead, initiate, create RFI, RFQ, RFP, RFT commercial processes in a sustainable manner and execute sourcing/tender events within predetermined timeframes and in the ambit of good corporate governance.
• Analyse sourcing/tender supplier bids, consolidate adjudication results, conduct supplier clarifications, and develop negotiation strategies with Senior Executives from Suppliers and Contractors
• Manage compliance to all relevant policies, procedures, approval frameworks and codes of conduct.
• Implement and manage formal written contractual agreements to improve purchasing efficiencies, effectiveness, and mitigate operational risk.
• Liaise and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Ensure compliance to all terms and conditions negotiated and implemented into all formal written contractual agreements.
