Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To implement policies and frameworks surrounding supply chain management and coordinate all activities thereof as well as to source the right solution for the organisation meet customer requirements within the agreed upon turnaround time.

Obtaining Quotes and Placement of Orders

Obtain 3 quotes using the Central Supplier Database (CSD), negotiate proposal terms/ price and maintain supplier relationships. Advertise RFQ's on National Treasury eTender Portal Conduct briefing sessions and site inspection when required Facilitate RFQ evaluations in line with DoA

Management of purchase orders

Decide and send out completed purchase orders to approved/ appointed suppliers/vendors.

Review Requisitions for Completeness

Review requisition for correctness and completeness, and budget availability.

Distribution of Goods

Review requisition for correctness and completeness, and budget availability. Deliver final product of goods, thereby ensuring compliance with goods Received Notes/invoices in acknowledgment of receipts.

Matching and Verifying of Documents

Match and verify the documentation according to procurement procedures.

Travel Arrangements

Travel Arrangements Coordinate travel - Requesting quotes, process orders, and sending to the agency to issue (during and after hours for urgent travel). 25%

Minimum Qualification:

National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or relevant NQF level 6 qualification

Ideal Qualification:

Degree in Supply Chain Management or BCom Logistics or relevant Degree

Experience:

3 years Sourcing experience
