JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to lead business development efforts toward ensuring strong pipeline and dealflow of investment quality opportunities through the development of strategic and tactical origination plans and reviews. Lead and guide the investment team in the elaboration of priorities and actionable plans and ensure monitoring controls are in place;
  • You will be required to lead or / and supervise analysts, associates and IOs in the production of investment analysis and financial models underpinning transactions and decision-making as well as the production of general market scanning, industry coverage & updates, competition reviews, etc and produce reviews and analysis is of historical data and projected financial statements of high standards and quality;
  • You will be required, in partnership with PIOs, RTHs, BLLs, to lead structuring and negotiations of transactions and deals and ensure smooth coordination with investment teams and several other internal stakeholders (credit, legal, ESG, country risk, credit / investment committees, etc.);
  • You will be required to lead deal execution of assigned transactions and deals across the entire investment and credit process, including formulating planning, initiating the process, due diligence, credit documentation, internal aprovals, etc. all in a smooth coordination with investment teams and other internal stakeholders;
  • You will be required to lead transactions management timely, efficiently and always adhering to written and costumary processes and procedures and within generally accepted best practices;
  • You will be required to ensure knowledge sharing within the investment team and take active responsibilities toward the growth and coaching of junior staff;
  • You will be required to lead internal stakeholders management at all levels and independently perform portfolio management activities, including but not limited too: engaging partners, follow-up on monitoring or other credit items, ensuring adequate reporting and data flow, supporting audit exercises, review the investment team's deliverables, etc.;
  • You will be required to ensure a strong communication flow with RTH / PIOs / BLLs on relevant developments and updates across the investment process and space, including ideas on investment strategies, new fund ideas, local new relevant dynamics, etc. and ensure strong feedback dynamics across the team;
  • You will be required to participate external engagements and visibility activities, including taking active role in industry-wide events and conferences, ideally at panel level.
CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • You have outstanding credit analysis skills and the ability to design a sector related strategy across complex transactions and various countries;
  • You have the ability to manage complex and innovative transactions;
  • You have the ability to interact verbally and orally with all internal stakeholders, including but not limited to IC members, ERC members, Executive management, Senior Management, BLLs, etc.;
  • You have a strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements and ccounting principles and general financial analysis;
  • You have demonstrated quantitative, financial analytical and modelling skills;
  • You have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English, additional languages would be a strong plus (including but not limited to Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, etc.);
  • You have a proficiency in understanding of corporate financial analysis, financial statements and general financial analysis and demonstrated relevant industry expertise;
  • You have strong quantitative, financial analytical and modelling skills;
  • You have a proven track record in the evaluation of financial statements and understanding of credit analysis across different countries;
  • You have an understanding and experience in the full deal lifecycle management (such as origination, due diligence, disbursement, monitoring, repayment);
  • You have the ability to present successfully in front of Investment Committees and senior stakeholders;
  • You have strong industry expertise and / or specific topic according to fund and investments needs with proven relevant experience;
  • You have a demonstrated maturity in dealing with clients and stakeholders, including senior management and BoD level representatives;
  • You hav a demonstrated maturity, professionalism and independence with the ability to manage change and work in an ambiguous environment;
  • You have the ability to support the development and mentoring of the team along the company's culture and business needs / set-up;
  • You have different perspectives in a decision making process;
  • You have good conflict-resolution and team management skills;
  • You have the ability and willingness to take over some deputy functions for the BLL / team head;
  • You have outstanding leadership skills -you will have at least two specialists reporting to you
CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have a B.Sc or BCom Hnrs, preferably in economy, finance or other business relevant studies from recognized university or business school with additional tertiary education(MBA or MSc and /or CFA completed- finance economics commerce) - this is essential;
  • You have the relevant certifications - this would be a strong plus (CFA I/II/III, CIIA, CIFA, ACCA, CPA, etc.);
  • You have a minimum of 8 years current, relevant experience;
  • You have a minimum of 3 years completed at professional level / IO2 or more direct reports;
