, and enterprise application integration. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions aligned with the enterprise IT/OT strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end architecture and solution design for application landscapes across mining operations, processing plants, geoscience systems, and safety-critical environments.
Design and oversee the integration of OT systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS, MES, PI Systems) with mining applications and enterprise IT systems.
Develop and maintain target and current state architecture models for application ecosystems across cloud and on-premise environments.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and solution architectures that improve operational efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Collaborate with vendors, integrators, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility and system interoperability.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption aligned with the digital transformation roadmap.
Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and compliant with industry standards (e.g., ISA-95, IEC 62443).
Support governance processes including architecture review boards, technical design documentation, and change control.
Guide and mentor technical teams and junior architects.
Contribute to the development of digital twins, predictive analytics, and real-time data processing platforms to support decision-making in mining and processing operations.
Key Competencies:
Strong knowledge of mining processes, including underground and open-pit mining, materials handling, mineral processing, and metallurgical operations.
Expertise in operational technology platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Yokogawa, OSIsoft PI, AVEVA, Honeywell).
Deep understanding of application landscapes for geoscience (e.g., Leapfrog, Deswik), processing (e.g., AspenTech, METSIM), and HSE systems (e.g., Intelex, IsoMetrix).
Proficiency in hybrid cloud/on-premise architectures and integration platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, Boomi, MuleSoft).
Familiarity with industrial protocols and standards (OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT).
Experience with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, MEGA, LeanIX).
Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles for OT/ICS environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
10-15+ years of experience in architecture, systems design, or technology delivery in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
Professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, ISA/IEC 62443, PMP) are highly desirable.
Proven experience in digital transformation initiatives across the mining value chain.
