Job Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions. Responsibilities:

• Installation of Solar Systems: Conduct on-site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installations. Install, configure, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties. Ensure compliance with local, state and national electrical codes during the installation process.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to solar panels, inverters, and other system components. Implement repairs and replacements as needed to maximize system efficiency.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on completed installations to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications. Verify that all components are securely installed and connected, and that the system is functioning as intended.

• Customer Education: Provide clear and concise explanations of solar system operations to customers. Offer guidance on proper system usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Generate comprehensive reports for clients and internal use, outlining system performance and necessary recommendations.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Keep abreast of industry safety standards and implement best practices in all work activities.

Requirements:

• Education: High School or equivalent. Additional technical training or certification in solar technology is highly advantageous.
• Experience: Proven experience in solar system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Technical Skills: Proficient in electrical systems and wiring. Familiarity with solar panel mounting and racking systems. Ability to use testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
