Malabie Infinitum is seeking a versatile and proactive
AI-Enabled Software & Tech Specialist
to join our fast-paced, innovation-driven team. This is not a traditional developer role. Instead, it blends
AI-assisted software development, cloud-based system integration, and on-the-ground smart property support
. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, automation, and smart living infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands software logic, can work with APIs and backend services, and is excited by emerging AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Fire Studio. In addition, they must be willing to get hands-on with smart devices
This role is ideal for someone who is
technically competent, practically minded, eager to learn
, and
unafraid to switch between code and cables
. You'll build functions, debug scripts, test AI logic, troubleshoot smart home automations, and sometimes physically resolve hardware or network issues in the field.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the development and automation team, you will contribute to the following key areas:
Software Development
You will be responsible for using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Fire Studio, and Cursor to generate, review, and debug code used in backend systems, cloud functions, and integrations. While you won't be expected to hard-code complex systems from scratch, you must understand how code works, how to prompt AI tools effectively, and how to integrate AI-generated logic into real-world applications. You will also help deploy scripts to platforms like Azure Functions and Google Cloud Functions, often building API-first services and automation flows.
Cloud, Integration & Automation
You will configure and deploy cloud services and APIs, manage serverless functions, and use tools like Power Automate to integrate business processes. This includes creating logic flows for our smart rental operations, automating internal workflows, and connecting third-party services across the Microsoft and Google ecosystems.
Smart Property Tech Support
You will provide ongoing technical support for our smart apartments -- remotely or on-site. This includes assisting with smart lock configurations , Alexa routine setups, smart light calibration, Zigbee/Tuya troubleshooting, router resets, and other IoT-related diagnostics. When needed, you may be asked to investigate connectivity failures or respond to minor technical issues such as a water sensor alert or guest access problems.
Operational Flexibility & Team Collaboration
This is a multi-dimensional role. At times, you may be asked to assist outside of traditional development responsibilities. We value teammates who are willing to step in -- whether it's diagnosing why a smart switch failed, helping with a physical install, or supporting another team member with technical prep for a deployment. A positive, team-oriented mindset is essential.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You should have between
3 to 5 years of experience
in software development, automation engineering, cloud integration, or a related field. You must have hands-on experience working with APIs, scripting backend logic, and at least basic familiarity with cloud deployment workflows.
While formal qualifications are welcomed, this role values
logic, adaptability, and teachability
more than a transcript. You must be able to learn rapidly, debug intelligently, and reason through both software and hardware challenges.
Familiarity with smart home ecosystems (e.g., Alexa, Zigbee, Tuya, TTLock, eWeLink) is a strong advantage -- but not required. We are committed to training the right person. Your willingness to learn, show initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team will determine your success here.
What We Offer
Exposure to bleeding-edge AI tools in real development workflows
A flexible, hybrid working model with purpose-driven projects
Opportunities to work across software, IoT, cloud, and automation
An environment where you are valued for both
thinking
and
doing
A chance to directly shape the future of Afro-luxury smart living
If you're excited by a role where you write code in the morning and solve a smart lock issue in the afternoon -- and you see AI not as a threat but as an accelerant -- we encourage you to apply.
