Social Media & Digital Journalist (3-year Contract) - MidrandPOSITION: 3-Year Contract (with possibility of extension) / OnsiteCOMMENCEMENT: ASAPPURPOSE OF POSITION:This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a creative flair-someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong grasp of digital platforms, content trends, and brand storytelling. This is an opportunity to make an impact and shape the company brand.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital content creation, journalism or social media management
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
• Proficiency with digital tools
• Working knowledge of Search Engine optimisation and analytics platforms
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) fluent in English

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Plan, create, and publish engaging social media content across various platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok).
• Write feature articles, blog posts, and content that reflects brand identity and values.
• Conduct interviews with internal and external stakeholders to generate authentic content.
• Ability to use tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, or content performance dashboards to track how content is performing (e.g., number of views, engagement, click-throughs) and make data-driven decisions to improve it.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, PR, and marketing teams to align messaging and strategy.
• Stay up to date with trends, tools, and best practices in digital media and journalism.
