Social Investment BD Specialist - JhbDevelop the business case and operational model for new business development solutions.Facilitate proposal development for potential and current clients.Contribute to the development of Sales/Business Development Strategy and Implementation Plan.Lead in developing the business capability to develop BD presentation materials and proposals for management.Pro-actively contribute to the improvement of internal processes including:o Pricing models used by business developmento Market Research and Analysiso Competitor analysiso Industry trends in key target marketsAssess alternative business models to identify the most effective ways of selling companyxe2x80x99s products/services to customers.Lead the researching and profiling of prospective clients.Track pipeline of new business prospects.Contribute towards research, marketing and development of new go-to-market strategies and new business opportunities.Identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.Perform first line of proposal review (quality assurance) prior to sign-off Head of Business Development, Head of Social Impact and Exco.Monitor team action items to ensure tasks are delivered (first line of management analysts and marketing assistant).Manage research projects through engagement with all relevant stakeholders, contribution to research, quality assurance of research outputs, and ensuring projects adhere to time frames.Attend BD meetings with Head of Business Development and external client.Leading BD meetings (running with smaller opportunities) with external clients.Play the role of a CRM/SI Specialist on some advisory projects.Marketing Portfolio ContributionAssist the Head of Business Development in managing the marketing portfolio:Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Officer to provide specialist knowledgeContribute towards the development of annual Marketing PlanContribute to the positioning externally as an expert fund management and advisoryContribute towards marketing contentAttend marketing meetings with internal stakeholders and service providersMonitor that action items related to marketing are delivered timeously, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications OfficerClient Fund StrategyProvide input into the development of allocated client strategies:Participate in strategy development meetings, providing sector and BD expertiseEngage with clients on their needs and provide input into strategies that align clientsxe2x80x99 needs with sector position and opportunitiesReview the final approved strategy within SLAParticipate in the design and develop programmes to deliver the approved client strategies:Evaluate approved strategiesIdentify programme opportunitiesDevelop programmes and submit for approvalImplement programmes within programme plan timelinesInterface with the SI team to facilitate grant recipients to fulfil client strategy, as and when required:Review sector specific grant applicationsEngage with Fund Management team members to select appropriate grant recipientsEngage with grant recipients to define and refine programmes to deliver the required strategic deliverables and address any grant non-deliveryIdentify and resolve challenges that impact on the ability for client strategies to be delivered.Sector ExpertiseMaintain expert levels of knowledge of Social Investment (SI) by conducting SI research, participating in SI discussion forums, engaging with sector and industry experts and academics and participating in relevant conferencesDevelop and present expert opinions and research papers on SI by conducting research, drafting articles or papers, submitting for review and publishing in relevant mediaIdentify and deliver on opportunities to increase market positioning and expertise within sector and clients by providing sector insights and expertise, identifying potential opportunities and fulfilling the role as industry and sector expert as and when required.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum Honours Degree in Development, Social Sciences, Economics or similar.Masters would be preferred.Minimum 3 - 5 years business development experience.Minimum 3 years social impact experience.Project Management experience.Prior experience in business consulting or development preferred.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Deadline: 2023/09/18
