Site Supervisor - Milnerton, Cape Town - R25 000 - R30 000 Per Month (Based on Experience)

Mobile Racking and Shelving business seek a Site Supervisor who is competent to install and maintain mobile racking systems in warehouses. The ideal candidate must be able to handle both the electrical and mechanical aspects of these installations.

You must be able to:

Liaise with clients, in order to maintain and improve service levels

Perform site inspections independently and report findings

Do repairs and maintenance of new and existing systems

Manage and plan new installations

Respond to breakdowns

Train assistants as well as supervise assistants, as and when necessary

Travel outside of Cape Town on short notice

Job-Specific Requirements:

Have recognisable technical qualifications - RED SEAL Electrician

Minimum 5 years working experience as a RED SEAL Electrician

PLC experience advantageous

Be experienced in fault finding - must be able to work unsupervised

Problem-solving ability

Must be physically and medically fit and able, to work in the cold at -20xc2xb0 Celsius, for varying lengths of time

Have the ability to work at heights

Be able to read drawings (experience in reading electrical drawings is advantageous)

Be prepared to work weekends, if and when required

Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Be disciplined and pay attention to detail - following procedures is of utmost importance

Ability to perform administrative duties, such as the completion of breakdown and planned work in accordance with a technical job card system, writing reports following inspections, drawing up quotes, etc.

Be able to complete project work, in accordance with project schedules

Have the ability to work with a diverse cultural mix of people

Valid Code EC or EC1 driver's licence

Valid and updated passport

Clear criminal record
