Job Description

RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with project managers and subcontractors. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make an impact in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site activities, including but not limited to, construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and specifications
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including site reports, progress updates, and change orders
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve any technical issues or challenges that may arise during construction
• Manage and supervise a team of site workers, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably within the construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites
